Waterproof Performance Testing: The fabric's ability to withstand water pressure is measured using a hydrostatic pressure tester. High-quality raincoats conforming to GB/T 4744 standards must achieve a waterproof rating of ≥10 kPa. During a simulated heavy rain spray test in the laboratory, the inner fabric must remain completely dry after 30 minutes of continuous heavy rainfall.

 

Seam Sealing Testing: Seams treated with high-frequency heat sealing or adhesive tape bonding processes must pass a 24-hour immersion test. During testing, the raincoat seams are immersed in water, and any water leakage is observed. Simultaneously, a tensile testing machine is used to verify that the adhesive tape peel strength is ≥8 N/cm.

 

Breathability Assessment: Water vapor transmission rate (RET value) is tested using ASTM E96 standards. The RET value of a high-performance raincoat should be ≤6 m²·Pa/W. This indicator ensures that sweat generated during exercise can be effectively expelled, preventing the accumulation of internal condensation.

Durability Testing: Includes 5000 fabric bending cycles, UV aging test (simulating 3 years of sun exposure), and low-temperature brittleness test (maintaining flexibility at -20℃). Products passing this test must guarantee a normal service life of at least 3 years.

 

Chemical Substance Screening: Analysis using GC-MS equipment to determine the content of harmful substances such as phthalates and azo dyes. Compliance with REACH regulations and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is required. For children's raincoats, in particular, lead content must be <90mg/kg.

 

Reflective Marking Verification: Nighttime visibility testing requires reflective strips to achieve a reflectivity of ≥400cd/lx/m² at a distance of 30 meters and an illuminance of 50 lux, ensuring driving safety on rainy roads.
